Rebecca Gaines Platts, age 81, of Liberty, SC went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 14th, 2021. Rebecca was a member of First Baptist Norris. She graduated from Lander College and retired from Clemson Extension Service. Rebecca loved to create and appreciate beautiful crafts of any kind. Her true passion was for quilting. She was a member of the Upstate Quilting Guild.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Preceded in death by her parents Harold and Lois Gaines; brother, Roger Gaines. Survived by her children: Rebecca Harper (Chris), Carl T. Platts Jr., Barbara Creswell (Mack) and Elizabeth Platts; Grandchildren: Ensign (USN) Reid Creswell, II (Avery), Elizabeth Platts, Alexander Harper, Gabrielle Creswell, Cameron Platts and Roger Harper; Sister: Susan Yates (Stan); Former spouse: Carl Platts Sr.; Several nieces, nephews and close friends.

Funeral services will be held July 16th, 2021. Receiving friends will be held at Liberty Mortuary from 10am to 11am with the funeral following at the same location. The livestream of the service will be available for viewing at 11:00 am Friday by visiting her obituary at www.libertymortuary.com The graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
