Jerry Underhill

Memorial services to honor the life of Mr. Underhill will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Pickens Presbyterian Church. The family will have a reception following the service in All Saints Hall at the church.

Jerry Lee Underhill, of 102 Club Ridge Drive, Pickens, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 10, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Born in Frankfort, Indiana he was a son of the late Dale H. and Mildred Cantwell Underhill.

He started his career with Chrysler Corporation, later worked with Arwood Corporation in High Point, North Carolina, and retired as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Singer.

Mr. Underhill was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Pickens Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Ivy B. Underhill of the home; two sons, Jeff Underhill (Meredith) of Easley, and Todd Underhill (Kim) of Pickens; two step sons, Keith Watkins (Mindy) of Columbia, and Scott Watkins (Dawn) of Easley; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Underhill, Krista Hall, Katelyn Miller, Ashlyn Graves, Kayce Underhill, Kendall Pitts, Karlee Underhill, Cameron Underhill, Aleigha Owens and Jordan Thompson; two great grandchildren, Eli and Lakyn.

In addition to his mother and father he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Underhill, a son, Bradley Underhill, a sister, Carolyn McCord, and his daughter in law, Cam Underhill.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Pickens Presbyterian Church, Building & Grounds Fund, PO Box 834, Pickens SC 29671.

The family will be at the home. Liberty Mortuary and Cremation Services is handling arrangements.
